End the year on a high

Gary Bowyer wants Rovers to end 2013 in the same manner in which it started - with three points on Sunday.

Bowyer was in charge on New Years Day last season as Rovers defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 in a resounding home win.

As 2013 comes to a close, Birmingham City are the visitors to Ewood Park this weekend, with Bowyer hoping Rovers can end the year on a high.

"That will be our aim, but like we have said, there is no easy game in this Championship," Bowyer told Radio Rovers.

"Birmingham have gone and drawn away at Wigan Athletic, I think that is eight games they have gone without defeat now so it is going to be a tough game for us.

"You never know what they are going to come with, they might come and try and stop us playing so it will be up to us to be a little bit cuter in front of goal.

"It is work in progress and it is about us being ruthless in front of goal. We have now kept six clean sheets in the last nine games, we have to keep working very hard and stick at it.

"We just urge everybody to stick together and rally behind the team."

Tickets for the Birmingham City match are currently on open sale with prices from £19 for Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point at the end of the game.
