Michael Appleton is keen to add more players to his squad for the end of season run in.

The Rovers boss has already added DJ Campbell and Lee Williamson to the ranks over the past week, but he wants more players to provide further competition.

"I think we need a few more bodies, I think it is crying out," said Appleton on Radio Rovers.

"I want to be able to change things a little bit earlier at times if I want to.

"I'd like to give us a different impetus with certain players and different players in different positions.

"I'd love to bring three bodies in before Saturday's game, obviously we'll re-evaluate things after Tuesday but I still think we are a little bit short and if we pick up one or two injuries in certain areas we'll leave ourselves short.

"So I'll be seeking to make sure we get recruits in."
