After missing the first three months of the season with a troublesome ankle injury, the striker made his long-awaited return as a second half substitute against Charlton Athletic.
Campbell featured for the final six minutes of the 90, with Bowyer delighted to welcome him back.
"He’s been bright and bubbly down at the training ground," said the manager.
"He’s worked very hard to get back fit.
"We need to be sensible with him and drip feed him back in, but we are delighted to have him back.
"Getting those few minutes under his belt will do him the world of good and he will be all the better for it come Blackpool on Saturday."
