Danny Murphy is delighted that he'll have his former Fulham team-mate Dickson Etuhu with him for Rovers on Saturday.
The pair played together at Fulham during a four-year spell and now as they prepare to take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Saturday, they are expected to both be in the starting eleven for Rovers.
"He's a good player is Dickson," said the Rovers captan. "He's a tremendous athlete but he's a good footballer as well.
"He is very clever in that position, he knows that position and role very well and we had a really good understanding in the years we were together at Fulham.
"I knew the Gaffer was a fan of his anyway because I think he tried to get him in the January window, so obviously when he spoke to me about him I was more than enthused because playing with Dickson is always easier than playing with some other people because he is so mobile and so aware of how to play that position.
"Sometimes playing central midfield is quite tactical, you have to know what stage of the game you are at, when to help your defenders and when to maybe push on and try to get after the other team.
"We built up quite an understanding so it is nice to actually have someone next to you who you know really well and you don't have to build that relationship it is already there, it is a big plus that."
Tickets for the game on Saturday are still on sale priced at £25 for Adults, £18 for Seniors/Students and £15 for Juniors.
Supporters should note that whilst tickets will be on sale on the day of the game at Ipswich from turnstiles 12 and 13 from 1.30pm, there is an increase in prices. Adults and Seniors prices go up by £2.50, Juniors by £1.
