The on-loan defender, making his second start in his second spell at the club, played a key role in Rovers' equalising goal, laying on the pass for Jordan Rhodes to score, as well as having a huge influence on the game throughout.
Speaking to Radio Rovers after the game, boss Bowyer said: "He was outstanding.
"We had a game plan and he was the main focus of the game plan in terms of getting forward.
"I can't praise him enough because he was outstanding today."
Bowyer was also delighted for Lee Williamson after the midfielder made his first Ewood outing following his return from an ankle injury.
"Lee gave it everything," added Bowyer. "He showed what a good player he is at Arsenal with his performance there.
"Today he has done tremendous for us."
