Scott Dann and Gael Givet fit and ready to tackle Bristol City.

Rovers are cheered by the news that Gael Givet and Scott Dann will be fit for Saturday's match against Bristol City.

Before the break for international matches there were worries after Dann sustained a hamstring injury in the draw at Leeds United whilst it was first feared that Gael Givet had broken a bone in his foot. But ahead of Rovers' first visit to Ashton Gate for 21 years the duo are expected take their place in the heart of the defence once more.

Colin Kazim-Richards could also be involved after missing the last two matches with a knee injury, as could Martin Olsson who is now back in full training after a summer groin operation.

"We've had a few lads away on international duty but the good news is that it looks like they've all come back in one piece with no injuries," revealed the Rovers boss on Thursday.

"Plus we've had the added bonus of having Gael Givet and Scott Dann available. Scott had to make an early exit from the game against Leeds with a hamstring strain but he's back in full training and available for this game.

"Gael had a painkilling injection as we thought he'd broken his foot but he's got through that and has been back in training all week. Colin Kazim-Richards is touch and go and getting close."

There were initial concerns when Martin Olsson had been called up by Sweden for two international matches but subsequently the wide-man didn't feature in either game and was allowed to return to Rovers early, much to the relief of Kean.

"We were against him going away but those are the rules, they are allowed to take him," said the Rovers boss.

"He came back having not played any minutes which is something we are glad about
because it was quite an operation that he had in the close-season and we felt he wasn't up the full speed.

"We had him on the bench for a game but never put him to just make sure that he could get some minutes under his belt at a controlled stage.

"So we are glad he never played in any game. He is available, he just hasn't had any minutes yet."

The manager is expected to select from: Robinson, Orr, Martin Olsson, Givet, Lowe, Fabio Nunes, Dunn, Formica, Rhodes, Pedersen, Murphy, Markus Olsson, Dann, Paulo Jorge, Etuhu, Edinho, Nuno Gomes, Rochina, Hanley, Ribeiro, Vukcevic, Kean, Kazim-Richards.

Tickets will be available from Ashton Gate on the day of the game priced at £25 for Adults, £20 for Seniors 65 and over, and £12 for Juniors aged under 16.
