As Rovers prepare to take on Derby County this Saturday followed by Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night at Ewood Park, the defender knows just how big both games can be.
"I think the next two games are massive for us, it is obviously going to go a long way in determining where we'll end up in the league," Dann told Rovers Player
"All the lads know that and we are ready and up for the challenge.
"I think with them both being at home that is the way we will be going about it. We should be beating the likes of Derby and Huddersfield at home, albeit we haven't had as many results as we would have liked in the last few weeks."
The Rovers captain believes dropping into the relegation places could actually focus the mind of the players and provide the required impetus to immediately get out of trouble.
"We need the points and we need to change where we are in the league and get ourselves out of the position that we are in," added the defender.
"We've been down there for a couple of weeks now and we slipped into the bottom three after the game at Sheffield Wednesday and I think that might help us realise that we are where we are and that we need to get out of there very quickly.
"When the lads look at the table we know we need to make sure that we get the points we need.
"So with the two home games coming up we'll be looking to get maximum points and get ourselves away from the bottom three.
"There's been a lot gone on but going into the next two games we need to put all that to one side and make sure we put in the performances that warrant the three points on both occasions.
"The fans can also play a big part in that and hopefully they can get behind us and we can give them something to get them right up for it and get the right results."
Tickets for today's match will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices are from £19 for Adults, £12 for Seniors and £7 for Juniors under 16.
