After this weekend's match against Bolton Wanderers, Rovers will have a host of players away on international duty.

Qualification for next summer's FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the 2015 UEFA Under-21 Championships in the Czech Republic are very much on the agenda with Rovers well represented.

Fresh from his man-of-the match display in the 5-2 win over Barnsley at the weekend, Rovers' Norwegian flier Joshua King has been named in Egil Olsen's squad for their two qualifying matches.

Norway, who find themselves fourth in Group E, have two home matches to try and climb into the qualification positions. Against Cyprus on Friday 6th September and Switzerland the following Tuesday.

Scottish duo Jordan Rhodes and Grant Hanley have both been named in Gordon Strachan's squad for their game against Belgium at Hampden on September 6th and their away game against Macedonia on September 10th.

Corry Evans, who missed out on Rovers' weekend win due to a slight groin injury, has been included in the Northern Ireland squad for their games against Portugal in Belfast a week on Friday, before they travel to Luxembourg for their second match on the 10th.

At Under-21 level Todd Kane is once again named in the England squad for their qualifiers against Moldova and Finland.

The Rovers defender, who scored his first senior goal in the win over Barnsley, missed out on a first cap last time out as an unused substitute, so he'll be hoping to stake a claim for a place in Gareth Southgate's side for the games at the Madejski Stadium on September 5th and in Tampere on Monday September 9th.

Anthony O'Connor's Republic of Ireland's Under-21s face their German counterparts on Monday 9th September, they opened their qualifying campaign with a win over the Faroe Islands last month.

Fresh from his goalscoring exploits for the Under-18s at the weekend, Academy striker Jordan Preston is included in the Scotland Under-19 squad that will play Iceland in an international friendly at the Forthbank Stadium in Stirling on Tuesday September 3rd.
