The Under-21s will be hoping to put in an improved display when they take on Chelsea this Friday night.

Eric Kinder's side were defeated 6-0 by a rampant Manchester City side on Monday, their heaviest loss of the campaign.

But it certainly won't be easy against one of the best youth systems in the country, Chelsea currently lie sixth in the league table, but have up to four games in hand on the teams above them.

Kinder has named his youngest starting eleven of the season, with all but three players eligible to play for the Under-18s. Captain Darragh Lenihan and full backs Hugo Fernandez and Will Beesley, the trio of elder players.

Academy first year Sam Lavelle returns after injury at centre back, whilst 17-year-old striker Luke Wall makes his first start for the Under-21s up front alongside Dean Rittenberg.

Tonight's match takes place at Chelsea's Cobham training ground, kick-off is at 7.05pm.

ROVERS: Raya, Fernandez, Bauress, Tanner, Lavelle, Lenihan (c), Green, Doyle, Rittenberg, Beesley, Wall.

Subs: Paulo Jorge, Williams (GK), Cotton, Pero, Paul.
