Paul Robinson has called on supporters to give the team a huge boost this weekend against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Rovers number one believes that the club have made a steady start to the new campaign but a win against Wolves at Ewood Park on Saturday would turn it into a good one, and with the fans backing he is sure that that can happen.

"It is massive for us, it'll be a huge boost for the players to hear them back us," Robinson told Rovers player.

"The last couple of years in the Premier League we've really tried to recreate that, to get Ewood as the 12th man and the supporters can do that for us and I'm sure they'll come back this weekend.

"I think we all want the same thing and we have always wanted the same thing - to get back into the Premier League.

"It has been well reported of the problems we've had at the club and the fans have made their feelings clear which they are entitled to do.

"But hopefully this weekend we are going to get Ewood Park back, hopefully we'll get a lot more fans in and create a great atmosphere and hopefully we can put on a performance and reward them.

"Three points this weekend would mean it has been a good start to the season going into the international break. Three points this weekend makes the point at Forest into a good point.

"Whereas if it is a defeat or a draw at the weekend it would mean a decent start but we really need to kick on, three points would really give us a good platform."
