The pair signed on loan in advance of today's match against Peterborough, the duo both going into the squad for the home game.
Speaking to Blackburn Rovers TV, the Rovers boss said: "With Lee, Dickson and Dunny out the midfield area was somewhere I wanted to strengthen.
"David is a left-footed midfielder that can give us a new dimension and isn't afraid to play a forward ball or a defence splitting pass.
"He has bags of experience at this level.
"Cameron has bags of pace, he's lightning quick provides us with a good option in wide areas.
"He hasn't played a lot of football recently but he has a good pedigree having come through the ranks at Manchester United and Hull City."
