Jason Lowe was over the moon after scoring the winner against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

It was the 22-year-old first goal for the club after 96 appearances, his 25-yard strike a sensational way to break his goalscoring duck.

Speaking to Radio Rovers after the game, the midfielder said: "I don't think the phrase Jason Lowe and match-winner go together very often, so that's something that's nice to change.

"As soon as I hit it I knew it had a chance and when I saw it was on target and it flew in it was an unbelievable feeling.

"With it being the match-winner as well it is a goal I'll remember for a long time.

"To score one of them, a midfielder's goal from the edge of the box, it was nice to see it go in.

"It was there to hit and thankfully I caught it sweet and it flew in and I'm over the moon."

Lowe and Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Rovers travel to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion.
