Gary Bowyer believes if the players show the same passion and honest as displayed on Saturday at Sheffield Wednesday then their fortunes will change.

Rovers dominated for long spells at Hillsborough at the weekend but a stunning strike from Jermaine Johnson condemned them to a 3-2 defeat.

"The players gave everything they got," said the Rovers boss. "And obviously we have to show what we have shown against Sheffield Wednesday with our honesty and passion and if we do that then we'll be fine."

Saturday's loss meant Rovers slipped into the relegation places but with six games left in the 2012-13 campaign Bowyer knows there is plenty still to play for.

"We can't hide from it, we are in the bottom three, we aren't ignoring that, it is reality," added Bowyer.

"The players have to look at it and take responsibility and ownership.

"There are six games left this season, there are 18 points to play for, our game in hand is going to be important, the goal difference is going to be important.

"I'm sure that if we play and compete and play like we did on Saturday then we'll be fine."

Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Derby County are the visitors to Ewood Park.

Tickets are on open sale and will be available up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices are from £19 for Adults, £12 for Seniors and £7 for Juniors under 16.
