Rovers’ new accessible executive coach gives more fans than ever the chance to see their team play away and has earned praise from all quarters.

The club have long taken an inclusive approach to making services and facilities accessible for everyone and the coach is the latest example. Paul Marney, Group Travel Manager for First Travel Solutions, who supplies vehicles for Rovers Away Travel, hired the accessible vehicle from Moving People owned by Stuart Coates.

The coach features a lift, a saloon-level toilet, hearing loop, storage area for wheelchairs and walking aids and facilities for hot and cold drinks.

The new addition to the team is also proving very popular with supporters who need to use a lift to access the vehicle. Regular travellers Trevor Jackson, Alex Hook and Peter Taylor have followed Rovers on the road for years and are very impressed with the coach, stating that the coach is ‘comfortable with plenty of leg room’.

The new service means more and more supporters are able to travel to away matches and we even achieved a club first when 11 wheelchair users (four of whom remained in their chairs for the journey), together with Bob and his guide dog, made the trip to Burnley.
