Gary Bowyer was pleased that the players got more game time after a hardworking 2-2 draw with Accrington Stanley on Wednesday night.

Rovers twice came from behind in the sunshine at the Store First Stadium as goals from David Dunn and Tom Cairney cancelled out strikes from Piero Mingoia and James Gray.

The majority of the first team squad got 70 minutes under their belts as they continue to step up their work ahead of the big season opener against Cardiff City at Ewood Park on Friday August 8th.

Speaking to Rovers Player after the match, the manager said: "It was very good, it is always good to come here, I thought there was a good following from the supporters and a good gate for Accrington.

"The workout itself was useful, we trained them hard this week and we knew that going into the game that it would be tough for them and so it proved because Accrington did well.

"We are pleased with certain aspects of the game but you always look for better. This is why we have these pre-season games to get used to playing again.

"Some players' timings are nearly there, whilst others are a little bit off, that is all part of pre-season, we just keep going and getting better.

"We've got to make sure that people recover and go again ready for Saturday at Bradford now."

Tickets for the friendly at the Coral Windows Stadium will be on sale at Ewood until 4pm this Friday. After that they'll be on sale on the day of the game from Bradford.

Prices are £10 Adults, £5 Seniors aged 60 and over, Students with a valid NUS/Student card, and Under 16s.

Tickets for Rovers' first match of the 2014-15 campaign against Cardiff City are also on sale. Prices start from £17 for Adults, £11 Seniors/Students and £6 Juniors under 17.
