A good game to be involved in

Corry Evans believes Rovers can take great heart from their display in Saturday's 1-1 draw with table-toppers Leicester City.

Rovers backed up last week's win over Huddersfield Town with an impressive performance against the Foxes as Matt Kilgallon's first goal for the club cancelled out Jamie Vardy's early strike.

The Ewood club pushed the league leaders all the way in a pulsating match, and Evans believes that if Rovers can replicate that spirit and determination in the remaining ten games then it could be a productive end to the campaign.

"It was really fast and end-to-end," Evans told Radio Rovers. "I'm sure it was really entertaining for the fans, it was a good game to be involved in.

"I thought we were unlucky, we're a bit disappointed that we didn't come away with the three points.

"We had a period of dominance in the second half were we couldn't get out, we were keeping them in their own half. We had a few chances then and if we had taken one then who knows we might have come away with the three points.

"But to be fair to Leicester, they had a good last ten minutes, but we defended well as a team.

"The lads were great today, we've tested ourselves against the team at the top of the league, we just need to carry that on now, to find that consistency and try and play like that every week.

"We'll just keep going and see where it takes us, who is to say we can't go on an unbeaten run with ten games left? We are very capable with the squad that we have and hopefully we can get a win on Tuesday against Watford."

Rovers are back in action this Tuesday night when they travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford. Tickets are priced at £26.00 Adults, £15.00 Seniors over 65 / Students aged 24-20 with valid NUS Card / 16-19 year olds and £10.00 Under 16’s.
