Goal of the Season 2016-17

Posted: Fri 21 Apr 2017

It’s sure to be one of the most hotly-contested competitions in recent history!

Whether you favour a superb solo strike (like Elliott Bennett’s blockbuster against Blackpool), a terrific team goal (like Danny Graham’s exquisite effort at Derby) or a moment of individual magic (like Marvin Emnes’ wonderful winner against Wigan) – Rovers’ 2016-17 ‘Goal of the Season’ award is sure to prove as popular as ever.
The club launched the coveted competition (The Peter White Memorial Trophy) in conjunction with the Lancashire Telegraph 16 years ago, in memory of Rovers reporter Peter White.
We’ve shortlisted 10 great goals so here’s your chance to pick your favourite finish. Watch the clip and then vote below...

Shane Duffy’s stunning strike at Brentford won last season’s award, but who will claim this year’s prize?

Voting will close on Wednesday April 26th. The winner will be announced at our final home game of the season against Aston Villa on Saturday April 29th.
